The PDF split tool separates a PDF into individual pages or extracts just the pages you need. It runs in your browser and never uploads your PDF. It is the counterpart to merging.
"Split by page" vs "extract a range"
One mode separates the file one page at a time; the other pulls out a specified range like "pages 3 to 5". Use them to distribute a specific chapter from a long document, or to share a single sheet from a stack.
The original is untouched (non-destructive)
The extracted result is produced as a new PDF and the original file stays intact. You can try different ranges as often as you like, so preparing just the required pages for submission is worry-free.
Content, size, and orientation are preserved
Each page keeps its content, layout, size, and orientation, and the extracted pages become the new PDF as-is. There is no degradation from re-encoding.
Remove passwords first
Encrypted PDFs may not load. Remove the password protection first before trying to split a protected file.
