Spin the Wheel
Type options and spin the wheel. Great for raffles, picking order, and giveaways.
About this tool
The spin wheel lets you enter options, spin the wheel, and pick one at random. Deciding where to eat, choosing who goes first or who is on duty, drawing a giveaway winner, calling on someone in class or at an event β any "I want to just decide but I keep hesitating" moment gets a fair outcome with a fun bit of suspense.
Usage is simple: enter one option per line and spin. The wheel makes several turns, then slows and stops, and the slice the top pointer lands on is the winner. Each spin gives a different result, so you can draw repeatedly on the spot.
The winner is chosen with a random number, and the tool is designed so the visual stopping position matches the logical result. There is no mismatch where the display shows A but the result is B β you get exactly what you see. The animation and the actual outcome never disagree, which is what makes it trustworthy.
Everything runs in your browser, so the options you enter are never sent externally. Feel free to use it for one-off lists like event attendee names or team names. Because it uses randomness, a particular item can come up several times in a row over a few spins. For a use case where everyone must win exactly once, set an additional rule to be sure.
How to use
- Enter options on the right, one per line.
- Press Spin β the wheel spins and the winner is shown at the top pointer.
FAQ
Is the result truly random?
Yes. The winner is decided by a random number, and the tool is designed so the visual stopping position matches the logical result. The display and the outcome never diverge.
How do I enter the options?
One option per line. Empty lines are ignored, so you can paste a list and spin it directly.
Can the same item win several times in a row?
Yes. Each spin is independent, so a particular item can repeat over a few spins. If you want everyone to win once, add a rule such as removing an item after it wins.
Are the entered options sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent externally, so even one-off lists of attendee names are safe to use.
How many options can I add?
You can add many options within practical limits. However, with a very large number of items each slice becomes thin and hard to tell apart on the wheel.
Can I use it for ordering or drawing lots?
Yes. It works for any "pick one at random" use β deciding turn order, presentation order, drawing lots, or shuffling seats.
