Design

How to use

  1. Drop an image or click to select it.
  2. EXIF, location (GPS), date taken, and camera are analyzed and shown in your browser.
  3. Use "Remove metadata and download" to save a copy with metadata stripped.

FAQ

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Both analysis and removal happen entirely in your browser; the image is never sent anywhere.

Is location (GPS) data removed?

Yes. The image is re-encoded via canvas, which strips EXIF metadata including GPS.

Which formats are supported?

EXIF analysis supports JPEG. Downloads are re-encoded as JPEG or PNG.

Will quality degrade?

JPEG is re-encoded at high quality (~92%). Stripping metadata involves a slight re-compression.
